Meet Paul,

Finance & ESG

Paul Ark has 25+ years experience in the Venture Capital landscape and impact & sustainability investing across Asia, Silicon Valley and Wall Street.

He is currently the Head of ESG for Gobi Ventures, a global Venture Capital firm, where he also leads the charge on gender funding gaps in the startup ecosystem. He is a passionate advocate for female empowerment and is the founder of The Amazing Girls Project, a non-profit, supporting Maasai girls in Kenya.

Previously he was a Venture Partner for Seedstars, a venture fund out of the EU supporting startups through technology and entrepreneurship as well as the Entrepreneur In Residence at WeWork.

Meet Charlotte,

Legal

Charlotte Proudman is an award-winning barrister at Goldsmith Chambers and ranked as Legal 500’s Leading Junior in family law.

She is instructed in complex trials and appellate cases, often encompassing ground-breaking and novel points of law. She has represented and advised high-profile public and political figures. Charlotte is known for her campaign work to change the law to ensure the better treatment of vulnerable women and victims of domestic abuse.

She is is a legal advisor to Our Streets Now and Plan UK, a campaign to criminalise public sexual harassment. She has assisted in drafting a Bill that is compliant with the government’s commitment to ratify the Istanbul Convention. Charlotte was awarded Rising Star, Women Law Awards 2020 and The True Honour Award, Iranian and Kurdish Women’s Rights Organisation. She was also shortlisted for Family Law Junior Barrister of the Year 2020.

Meet Harry,

Social Innovation

Harry Barkema is a Professor of Management at the London School of Economics and also holds a position as Professor of Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship at the Rotterdam School of Management.

He has experience working with global and local social innovation partners, and through field workshops, together with social enterprises, companies, NGOs, and foundations in Africa, South Asia, and South America.

Over the past 20 years he has published numerous articles in the world’s top management journals on innovation and international strategy, and has held many leading roles in the management profession (Board of Governors of the Academy of Management, first European Associate Editor of the Academy of Management Journal, co-founder of the European Academy of Management, etc.).

Tash Rebuck

Tash Rebuck is a Sales Consultant who has almost 10 years of experience in B2B sales, specialising in supporting start-ups and positive impact businesses. She is a CRM expert with extensive Salesforce and Hubspot experience and uses data to drive decisions and support sales. 

She started her career at Monopoly creating bespoke games and city wide editions before moving into the start up world where she helped create and build Commercial teams from scratch as a Head of Commercial. Tash has always taken full control of any sales cycle ensuring quality work is done from lead generation to negotiation as well as bringing in Marketing and Account Management to create cohesive and synchronised teams working towards the same goals.
