UN Sustainable Development Goals

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace & prosperity for people and the planet. The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are 17 key areas of action for impact, supported by key metrics to track. ila’s work aligns with mainly with the 4 following UNSDGs.

Discrimination and abuse have a significant impact on both physical and mental health and can lead to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and suicidal thoughts.

Gender has been at the heart of our work from the very begining and keeps being our top area of expertise. Through our training work we aim at triggering meaningful conversations around gender identity and significantly prevent the incidence of gender-based violence.
